Went and raced today at Bonzai BMX. Hade a decent turn out. Especially since the phone quite working out there. Track was in pretty good condition considering the weather we had last week. It was freezing out there today. The wind was blowing hard and it was 40 degrees so it felt really cold. Most people out at the track have gotten new frames, helmets, and uniforms. Should be rebuilding the track in March. It should be very big afterwards. If the weather cooperates with TX then I will be seeing Nacadoches next Sat. Kinda like a pre-race before Guthrie.

Found out early that we weren't racing today. So I decided to ride in the backyard and fool around. At about 1 I went to Bonzai BMX and rode there a little while. Felt pretty good. I rode with Cody Hall for a little while and then left. Built a new little slanted deck on my bank in the backyard. It's pretty cool. Might be going to Desoto, TX next weekend depending on how I am feeling. If not next week then definitely the week after.

Worked all day today. Found out t hat I will add EVS Speed Protection to my co-sponsor list. I am still getting ready for my upcoming out of state races. I am stoked on this season. I can't wait to race. Hopefully the track will be dry tomorrow so we can race. Training has been going good. I think all the banquet stuff is final and you can check that out by going to http://www.bonzaibmx.com. Rode the mini ramp also to pass time. The weather right now seems to be very good right now. Should be getting some new pictures soon.

Got home from school and started jumping my newest jump in the backyard. This one is even bigger than the one pictured on the Cheap Hills Page. It stands a good 5 feet tall and is wooden. I finally worked up the courage to jump it and man is it fun. It launches you straight up in the air. I built the landing up on it so it is getting bigger by the day. Look for pictures soon. Had a good training day. Overall it was a good day. I am very happy with the way the backyard is going. I now have something pretty big to mess around on.

Went to the tack today and it was in great shape. Dave called for the season opening race today but was canceled due to NO-ONE showing up! There were maybe six riders total there. Got to ride my new jump and it is great. It flows good. The track was actually smoother than what I thought it would be. The rain must have helped it a little bit. And I might be going to the Volunteer Nationals after all. Who knows.

Worked today and then went street riding with Jason. We had a pretty good session and I learned some new tricks. Yesterday me, him, and Matt Hogan went to the skate park and rode. It was a lot of fun. I have had a lot of fun doing the trick riding but I am craving some racing. I am very psyched on this years racing. I will be on all new equipment so that will be fun getting used to everything. And we will be getting our track rebuilt soon. Hopefully my preparation for this year will pay off!

Didn't do much today. Trained some. Found some pretty interesting news today that you can check out on the News Page. Should be going to DeSoto, TX to race a local race next Sat. if everything goes right. I guess I will see if I have improved any over the break then. I am going to try to find some new tracks to race this year as well. Like in Oklahoma. They have a track called T-Town that I have seen pictures of that looks pretty big. And maybe even try to a little NBL. Probably not but who knows.

Today I finally got to ride my new jump. Now I told you how tall it was and you know it just rained. So it was very hard to ride it. There was mud everywhere, but I still did it. My first attempt was very shady. I cased it a little. And my second jump was sketchy but I cleared it. I called it quits after that. When it dries it will be lots of fun. Today was kinda light day. Not much happened. Now let me tell you about my new deal. J & M BMX Parts. This is myself and Matt Hogan's new business. We will be setting up a little vender table at the track every month or two. In addition, we will sell parts online. You can view them by going to the J & M BMX Parts link above. All you need to do is send us an e-mail with your name and part in the subject bar. S.M.I. will be incorporated with J & M and it will now be called J & M Racing.

Today was a good day. I went out and built a really big jump in my back yard. The biggest jump I have ever built back there. I am just guessing but I believe it is about 5' tall. It has a big long landing. I got my drop in back set up so when everything dries it should be really good. Soon I will go buy a load of dirt to begin another big jump. I basically spent my day building and doing some training. Also the link page has been redone and has some cool new features. I have also added an item to the classified ads page.

Well I went back to school today. What fun! Racing season has begun and who knows when we will start racing. I will try to update you on our first race soon. Word has it that the track will be rebuilt in early March! I can't wait. Caught up on some industry news today and put it on the website to keep you on the inside on the race gossip. Still getting ready for the upcoming Sooner Nationals. I can't wait. I hate the fact we don't have the Memphis National anymore. It was early and they always had a good track. Well I will try to update again tomorrow.

Got my Cheeta Frame on Monday. Got it built the same day but lacked a seat post clamp which Cheeta failed to send with the frame. So I went 2 days without one and then found out it would be around a week before I got one. So I found the biggest one in t he shop and took it home. We drilled it out and got it to work fine. And today I took it to the track and it rides GREAT. I think it rides better than the Coqpit. It is more responsive. Easier to manual and pull up before jumps and light to finish things off. Hope everyone had a good Christmas.

Well I got to see Nate today. Me him and Blake Pugh went to the track and rode a bit. It was pretty fun. The track it in bad shape but still rideable. Did my usuall today. Rode street this morning by myself which was fun. Last night I went and rode at Main Street Skatepark with Matt Hogan. And last I finally started a photo page on the site. Word has it that Ryan Corrigan (Pro street rider) will be here on Sat. filming for an upcoming FBM video.
12/19/01 Wednesday
Got home from work and rode the mini ramp for a little while. I enjoy that a lot. Had another excellent workout today. I am starting to really enjoy it. Tried to find some new industry news today but had no such luck. It seems there hasn't been much going on lately in BMX. Cheeta should have gotten my frame today and HOPEFULLY I will have it at the end of next week. Nate should be coming down here for Christmas so that should make for a fun Christmas break. I am hoping to gather a lot of pictures over t he next two weeks for the websites so look for pictures soon!
12/18/01 Tuesday
Today I didn't have any homework so I got to go out and ride my mini ramp in the backyard. I learned a new trick on it as well. A-up to Sprocket Jam to 50-50 stall to drop in. After that I lifted weights for a while. I failed to mention on Sunday that I learned bunny hop bar-spins. This is in the air not on the ground. Soon I hope to learn them on jumps. Training is still going really good and things are starting to look better and better for next year. I am hopping that 2002 will be my biggest year yet!
12/17/01 Monday
Well it stopped raining today which is good. Today was a pretty slow day today. I had some homework to finish for Tuesday and that's about it. I took the day off from training. I will get back to that tomorrow. My cranks came in for my new frame that should be in hopefully before the end of next week. Training so far has been going good for me. I am starting to get back to my normal state of strength. Hopefully I can keep building on all this and put it together for the Sooner Nationals.
12/16/01 Sunday
Today it rained all day. It has been raining for the past couple of days and I got sick of not being able to ride. So around 1:30 the rain stopped and I was bored so I went out riding. Well I got to session one of my secret spots for about 30 minutes and it started sprinkling. So I decided to start heading home. Well as I got going the rain started to get harder and harder. When I got home my pants and jacket were soaked. So I mainly watched riding videos the rest of the day. Lifted weights around 8:00. And then called it a day.
